10 ways to know if you're obsessed with romance novels

10. You stalk the romance section of Barnes and Noble just to look at the pretty covers....

9.  You refer to the characters by their first names, forgoing all titles, making them seem more familiar...

8. Your dreams consist of the hero riding into your house shirtless, on a white stallion. He manages to sweep you off your feet and onto the horse all the while kissing you senseless and murmuring your name over and over again...

7. While at work, you google the release dates and pre purchase everything on your e-reader. The same e-reader you hide under your desk and conveniently glance at when nobodies watching...

6. You forget to feed your children, do the laundry, and take a shower.

5. You take a mental health day because you want to read, and when your boss calls you manage to start talking to yourself in the third person in hopes he'll note the stress in your life and leave you alone so you can get back to your book...

4.You refer to your significant other as, "your grace." and begin to curtsy at social events.

3. Marrying a vampire all the while fighting off the evils of this world with nothing but the love you two share, seems totally plausible.

2. TV? What TV?

And finally....

1. You start wondering if you really want to take off your house pants and go out on the weekend...After all, you did just make a new book purchase? So you lie, yes lie to your friends that you are sick and don't feel good when instead you're home in front of the fire reading, and you couldn't be happier...

Sadly, most of that is from experience...Okay kidding, not all of it. But I do have a tendency to resort to regency speech and I'm not at all appalled at the idea of vampires some day taking over the world...I also imagine myself to be the heroine of my own story where I would be the only person who is able to save the world.

Romance isn't the same as it used to be. It boasts of strong heros, amazing women, and intricate plot lines that pull you into a totally different world! Romance allows us to use our imaginations and live a life outside of the laundry, dinner, and kids.

So this is my tribute to those obsessive romance readers out there, like myself, cheers and happy reading!
